Privacy policy
Effective October 22, 2026
Who we are
This policy explains how Housecall Growth (“we”, “us”) handles personal information from visitors to this website, people who contact us, and our clients' staff who use our client portal. Questions or requests: the contact details on our contact page.
What we collect
When you contact us: your name, business name, email, trade, what you need, and anything optional you add (phone, website, plan, add-on or budget).
When you become a client: contact and billing details for your business, the accounts and access you give us, your requests, our messages to you, invoices and payment status, and the work and reports we produce.
When you sign up online: the details on the sign-up form, plus a record of your agreement to our terms: the date and time, the version you accepted, your IP address and your browser type. We keep it as proof of the agreement.
When you use the client portal: your name, email, a scrambled (hashed) version of your password that we can't read, and sign-in records (time, success, and a hashed version of your IP address) to protect your account.
Automatically: our hosting provider, Hostinger, logs technical details like IP address, browser and pages visited to run and secure the site. To stop spam, the contact form briefly keeps a hashed version of your IP address for about ten minutes.
We don't use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tools.
Payments: we never collect card or bank details. If you pay through a payment link, the payment provider collects them under its own privacy policy and tells us only that you paid.
Cookies
The public pages of this website don't set cookies. When you sign in to the client portal, we set one strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in and expires when you sign out, close your browser or stay idle. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary cookies for security. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, so there's nothing to opt out of.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry, prepare a review or quote, and follow up about it
- To provide, bill for and support the services you buy
- To keep accounts, this website and our systems secure
- To keep business and tax records and meet other legal obligations
We don't sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or add you to marketing lists. If you contact us, we may follow up about your inquiry; ask us to stop and we will.
AI tools
We use AI assistants and other software to help with our work, such as drafting replies, reports and website content. When we do, we only include the information the task needs, use business accounts and settings that don't allow the provider to train its models on our content where that choice is offered, and a person reviews the result. We don't use AI to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us operate, under their own security and privacy terms:
- Hostinger, which hosts this website, the client portal and our records
- Our email providers, which deliver inquiries and messages
- AI and software tools we use to do the work, as described above
- For clients, the platforms we set up or manage for you, as you direct
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of selling our business (in which case this policy keeps applying to it).
Our clients' customers
When we handle information about our clients' own customers (for example callers or people who request a quote), we do it on our client's behalf as their service provider, following their instructions and our terms. If you're one of their customers, please contact that business with requests about your information. We'll help them respond.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that don't lead to work: 24 months after you contact us, then deleted automatically.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, then invoices and business records for 7 years for tax and accounting. Other client content is deleted or returned within 60 days after our work ends.
- Portal sign-in records: 90 days. Our activity log: 2 years.
- Routine backups expire on their own schedule after that.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete it. You can also object to how we use it. Clients can request account deletion from the client portal.
Contact the contact details on our contact page. We'll confirm your identity, reply within 30 days (or sooner if your local law requires it), and won't treat you differently for asking. You can use an authorized agent, and if we decline a request you can ask us to reconsider. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Legal basis (EU and UK)
We use your information to take steps at your request before a contract and to perform it, for our legitimate interests in replying to inquiries and running a secure business, and to meet legal obligations. Our providers may process it in the United States and other countries, with safeguards the law requires.
Security
We use encrypted connections, store passwords only in scrambled form, require two-step sign-in for our own back office, limit access to people who need it, and keep our private records outside the public website. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information we'll tell you as the law requires.
Children
Our services are for businesses and this website isn't meant for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information; if you think we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top. If a change significantly affects how we use information we already have, we'll tell clients by email first. Questions? Contact us.
